My Husband and the Food Processor

I don't know why but my husband seems to hold grudge against the food processor we had in the kitchen. I once asked him why and he told me, "Well, don't you think the food processor is a bully? When you are operating it, nothing happened. But when I did, it gives me hell. I just don't understand how you could say it was the best food processor you've ever owned."

I just laughed. True enough, the little food processor in the kitchen seems to have taken a liking in giving my husband a hard time whenever I had my husband to operate it.

"Well, maybe it was trying to tell you that you did not spend enough time in the kitchen with me." I said as a joke. I thought he would take it as a joke but it turned out that he actually take it seriously. For the couple of months, my husband would faithfully help out in the kitchen with me. I never thought that a simple joke would enable us to spend more time together in the kitchen.

Well, it's like reminiscing the old days when we were just married. At that time, I am new in cooking so he helped me a lot. It's really brings back memories. Our first year of marriage was quite hard as both of us entered a new stage of life. But after living together for years, everything has change for the better. We got ourselves three beautiful daughters, we moved to a bigger house and we have gotten ourselves financially stable after all these years.

The Old Junk

My parents are probably the most careful person in the country. They are very careful when it comes to the electrical items and many of their household appliances last for a very long time. For instance, the old portable air conditioner that they still keep in the attic after all these years is still functioning. Last time when all of my siblings were home, we has made a discussion to change it to a new one.

It is probably as old as I am! We think they should get rid of that old junk and look for a new one. We even offered to look up for portable air conditioner reviews and to advise them which model to get.

But they just shook their head and said that the one that they have is still working very well and they do not need any new ones. I always tell them that even if the appliances are not broken, they can always tell us to get new ones.

They are not helping the country's economy. And then, they would look at me with their know-it-all eyes and said that we need to reduce the energy wastage and be thrifty. A lesson in saving the planet from my parents.

After a few days, we bought them a new portable air conditioner to surprise them. As that day was our father's birthday, that made the portable air conditioner as his birthday present. He was very happy to received it as his birthday present.

For more information about portable air conditioner, please click here.
